Cafeteria Announcement

Greetings Corinth Families,

Child Nutrition Program
The mission of the Child Nutrition Program is to provide students with access to food that is appealing, healthy, acceptable, and prepared by compassionate and caring people. We manage our program in a nutritionally and financially accountable manner. We take a proactive approach by applying the dietary guidelines set forth in the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. We believe every child will have the same opportunity to enjoy the benefits of effective Child Nutrition Programs with healthy food choices provided in pleasant surroundings.

Our district participates in the National School Lunch Program and follows a traditional meal pattern – Offer Versus Serve. Students are offered a meal consisting of five major components to the meal, which include protein, fruits, vegetables, grains, and fluid milk. Students must take at least three components and one must be a fruit or vegetable.  We encourage students to take all five components for a nutritious, well-rounded meal.
