Larry Ramsey, a mechanic for the Corinth Central School District, has been hard at work since August 1, transforming an old, beat-up golf cart into a miniature school bus. With the help and support of head mechanic Mike Reynolds, transportation director Judy Kahn, Superintendent Dr. Stratton, Mike Varney, the Board of Education, and generous contributions from local businesses in the town and village of Corinth, Ramsey has spent months refurbishing the cart into a fully functional mini-school bus, complete with the classic yellow paint, bus number, and working lights.
Ramsey took on this project with a clear vision and a dedication to students' well-being. He spent months restoring and customizing the cart. What was once a run-down golf cart is now a fully functional mini-school bus, complete with a bright yellow paint job, bus number, and working lights.
“My goal with this project is to encourage safe, responsible, and respectful behavior among our students when they ride the bus,” Ramsey explained. “I wanted to create something fun and educational, but also serve as a reminder that being a good passenger is important not just for their safety, but for everyone’s.” - Larry Ramsey
