Mrs. Fuller's ELA class is practicing "Partner Reading." They are showing our Positivity Project character strength of teamwork by practicing our PBIS rules and working toward a common goal. Students are reading a book that teaches them all about the "literal great heart," after reading biographies that taught them about a "figurative great heart." Way to go, Riverhawks! We are proud of you!! #CESlovesreading
The Modified Boys Soccer Team battled the elements for a great win last night. Coach Krohn shared game highlights:
"Despite the rainy conditions, the Riverhawks pulled off an impressive 7-2 victory against Granville last night!
Jake led the charge with a hat trick, while Micah added 2 goals of his own. Jamie and Owen each chipped in with a goal, contributing to the team’s commanding lead. The Riverhawks showcased outstanding teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the match, proving their resilience even in tough weather. Great job, team!" Keep up the great work, Riverhawks!!!

Our Modified Volleyball Team notched their first win yesterday. Coach Secor shared some match highlights:
"The modified girls volleyball team played a fantastic game, winning 2-1.
As a team, the Riverhawks had 29 aces, with Annabell O'Brien leading the team with 11. Each of the players put in effort, allowing them to go on numerous serving runs. A ball didn't drop without multiple players running after it. The win was well deserved!"

Congratulations to the modified golf team in winning all their matches yesterday in a clean sweep! Weather conditions were cold and wet, but everyone adapted and played a great round. Each player is showing constant improvement with their skills and the progress is evident. Great job Riverhawks!

Coach Graham shared highlights from a great Varsity Field Hockey win last night:
"The varsity field hockey team had a huge league win last night against Greenwich. We came out and scored early in quarter one.
Aubrey Lozier smashed the back of the goal with an assist from Ava Holmes. We scored again in quarter two as Paice Murphy was in the perfect spot to score with a pass from Aubrey Lozier. We scored again in quarter 4 to seal the deal with yet another pass from Aubrey that Ava Holmes sent into the net.
Our midfielders Megan Smolinski and Jaz Gill both had an amazing game as well! The final score was 3-2. We have our annual cup game Saturday at 5. We hope to see you all there!"

The team got big wins from Parker Duerr-Clark, Reiley Halliday, Aiden Schurr, and Collin Vincent. It was another total team effort to win the match. It is a big week for the team as they close out their league season next week; they are currently tied for first in the league. Keep it going team! "

"Congratulations to the Varsity Cross Country team. The girls had a victory against Granville/Whitehall/Hartford. The top finishing girls were Sam Savage, Haley Potavin, Brynn Dunbar, Summer Cameron, and Chloe Jasper.
On the boys side, Aiden Pettit was our top runner in a closely contested meet and Wyatt Brown-Lagoy rounded out our group of very talented runners."

"Congratulations to the girls modified field hockey team on their season opener at South Glens Falls Monday night. The girls played well and held the Bulldogs to 4 goals and didn't allow them to score at all in the second half.
Jordan scored her first modified goal and captains Kendall and Olivia were on fire moving the ball up and down the field.
Vanessa, Avery, Trinity, and Maddox had solid minutes on offense while goalie Alex posted 9 saves and showed solid leadership in the backfield with the help of Ella, Addison and Mia. The Riverhawks are off to a solid start and will host Greenwich for their first home contest on Thursday."
