Literacy and the Arts in Action!
A shout out to our amazing students who rose to the creative writing challenge presented by our Band Director, Mrs. Crombach!

After studying and performing Sea of Eternity by Jeremy Bell, Mrs. Crombach encouraged students to dive deeper by expressing their inspiration through a story, a poem, or an illustration.

Congratulations to those who took this opportunity to connect their passion for music with their creativity in new and meaningful ways. This is a shining example of how our CMS grade level teams foster interdisciplinary connections across content areas.

Brava to Mrs. Crombach and our talented students for this beautiful collaboration of music and imagination!

CES had a special visit from local author Rachel Nardin, writer of Raccoons Go Rafting! She joined us to celebrate and promote a love of reading with our UPK, Kindergarten, and 1st grade students.

Students enjoyed an exciting assembly, followed by classroom visits where they received a bookmark and participated in a fun craft activity inspired by the book. Thank you, Ms. Nardin, for sparking imagination and joy through reading!

Attention, Corinth Community. Please see the following announcement as posted on our district website:
At the Meet the Candidate’s Forum on May 13, 2025, Anthony T. Charoensook, a candidate for the School District’s Board of Education, announced that he was withdrawing his candidacy in the upcoming election. On May 16, 2025, the District received Mr. Charoensook’s formal written withdraw from the election.
Due to his withdrawal, the District is required to remove Mr. Charoensook’s name from the ballots for the election. Since the District already had received the ballots from the printer, we contacted the printers and successfully arranged for new ballots to be printed in time for the election that do not list Mr. Charoensook as a candidate.

Our Modified Girls Softball team had a great win to wrap up the week! Coach Roberts shared game highlights:
"The Modified Riverhawks Softball team won their game against Hartford-Fort Edward with a score of 18-13.
This entire team continuously impresses me with their effort, support and positive mindset. Liz Miele hit a triple and had a beautiful RBI sending in two runners. Annabell O’Brien hit a triple. Annabell and Kirana had an incredible game behind the plate.
Maddox M. and Abby R. had strong hits that allowed our runners to move around the bases. Liv Dymond and Kendall Baker supported and coached one another with their pitching. Sawyer A. stopped 2 hard hits coming down to first and caught a foul ball. Ella, Emily, Sophia and Mia were moving quickly in the outfield to get that ball in with every hit. Natalie Baker was quick on our bases with impressive stealing."

Congratulations, Riverhawks! Be sure to check out Schedule Galaxy on our website to catch one of their remaining games as the season winds down! #RiverhawkPride

Students in 4th grade traveled to Spa Little Theatre on Friday, May 16th, as part of SPAC’s Classical Kids program.
The multimedia concert featured a string quartet of two violins, viola and cello. Our own CES student, Mia M. participated in a collaborative reading of poetry and music! It is wonderful for our students to have the opportunity to participate in live music locally!
SPAC will generously provide 2 free tickets to a summer concert featuring the Philadelphia Orchestra for each of our students. #CESlovestheArts #CorinthisCommunity

Our Varsity Girls Softball team had a great game on Senior Night vs. LG! Coach Bruno shared game highlights:
"It was a Senior night where we honored our seniors Sabrina Swift, Caitlyn Crossman, Hannah Barger and Teagan Grady! The team won their third game in a row 6-1 over Lake George
Lake George came out with a triple and a sacrifice fly to lead 1-0. Teagan would only allow 2 more hits the whole game as she struck out 8 batters and the defense played phenomenal!
In the bottom of the first we took the lead back when Whitney Cameron hit in Julianna French and Teagan scored on a passed ball. In the bottom of the third the team added 4 more runs. Alexis Baker started with a single, stole second then advanced to third on an Aubrey Lozier ground out.
Jullianna French walked, stole second and then Alexis scored on Teagan’s ground out. Whitney followed with an RBI single and then scored on Piper Houser’s triple who then scored on Makenna Eastman’s single to give the team a 6-1 lead.
The story of this game was the defense as Piper played a flawless game behind the plate. Whitney Cameron made some huge plays and made a great running catch in the sixth inning. The game ended with a 3 pitch strikeout as Teagan was dominant on the mound. Senior Hannah Barger went 1-2 at the plate as well. Total team effort that led to our 3rd win in a row! Congratulations Riverhawks!"
