Our Varsity Girls Soccer team notched another "W" on Thursday evening! Coach Morris shared game highlights:
"A huge congratulations to the varsity girls soccer team for their win Thursday on the road in Salem!
Our defensive line remained extremely strong throughout the game; allowing for very few shots on net. Keeper, Alexis Hall, had her first shut out of the season. With concrete passing, intensity and quick shots on net, the Riverhawks were able to walk away victorious with a 7-0 win. Goals came from Alexis Craig, Lylah Dishon, Piper Houser, Natalie Baker, and Heather Pita. Congrats to Natalie and Piper for their first varsity goals!
Our outside and center midfielders were paramount in our success. I want to commend this team for truly understanding the concept of teamwork, and never giving up. Keep persevering, Riverhawks!"
Congratulations, athletes! Keep up the great work! #RiverhawkProud #RiverhawksRising

Students had the opportunities to play games in the gym, board games, color or create with play-doh, dance and we even had a gaming room this year!
Thank you to our awesome student DJs, Hailey Cutright and Claire Sitcer, who helped the students dance the night away!
Thank you to all of the staff members who volunteered their Friday evening to make this event possible! All proceeds benefit our PBIS program!

This week, our school is focusing on the character strength of Curiosity. Curiosity means being interested in learning new things and asking questions to discover more about the world around us.
When we are curious, we want to know more and understand better. Curiosity helps us stay interested in stories, try new activities, and even explore new places. Everyone experiences curiosity in different ways, whether it's through asking questions, thinking deeply, or feeling excited about new ideas.
Being curious also takes courage. It means asking questions when we don’t know the answers and being willing to try new things, even if we might not succeed right away. But it’s through this curiosity and exploration that we learn and grow.
To practice and encourage curiosity at home, please visit The Positivity Project’s mobile-friendly P2 for Families (available in English and Spanish), where you can watch a video together and discuss a quote and three questions. Click here for the family resources: https://posproject.org/p2-for-families/
Curiosity is embedded in our school mission statement which is proudly displayed on our website homepage. Thank you for your partnership as we strive to make our social emotional learning curriculum a more visible part of our school culture.
