It was a great night in the CHS gym for Corinth Boys Basketball! The JV and Varsity basketball teams hosted the Town of Corinth Youth Commission teams at halftime of each game! Boys in grades 3-6 demonstrated their skills, sportsmanship and team work for the Corinth crowd! Congrats to these fine young athletes!
Thank you to our modified boys basketball players who made signs to celebrate each youth player, cheered and supported them throughout the games!
We would like to give a shout out to our Revitalize Athletics at CCSD Committee: Craig Falkenbury, Brian Bowe, Steve Craig, Lorraine Tefft, Shane Crooks, Carley Gurtler, Eric Schenone and our Athletic Director, Hilary Haskell!
Engaging the youth basketball players to join us for the exhibition games and showcase their skills is one example of many initiatives, activities and events that the committee facilitates and promotes to energize our current and future athletic programs. We are so thankful to all who volunteer their time for this important component of our students' education!
A tip of the hat also goes to the community coaches who are helping to develop interest and skills in our youngest Riverhawks! The future of Riverhawk basketball is bright. Thank you: Ashley and Steve Craig, Andrew Wood, Jason Willoughby, Tim Rochon, Lisa Flint, Sara Bailey, Linda Miller and the coordinator of the Town of Corinth Youth Commission programs, Mrs. Lorraine Tefft!

Our Girls Varsity BB team earned the "W" on the road last night. Coach Suppes shared game highlights:
"The Girls Varsity Basketball team traveled to Fort Ann Tuesday night, and left with a big league win. It was a balanced scoring attack with multiple players scoring double digit points, and other players recording their season best in points scored. The team played great defense, and every player recorded at least one steal, which is a big reason they held their opponents to only 15 points. The team is now 3-0 in league play, and looks to continue their great team play on Friday against Warrensburg at home."
Way to go, RIVERHAWKS!!! Keep up the great work!

We have some great news from the CCSD Food Services Department!!
Middle and High School students were excited to see a new addition to our daily lunch offerings: the reintroduction of a salad bar. The Garden Bar allows students to build their own garden salads as the vegetable component of their lunch. They also have the option to build a complete meal by adding protein, grains, fruits, and milk, thereby creating a filling, nutritious lunch.
The Riverhawks Garden Bar is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance meal quality, supported by the Healthy Meals Grant.
Thank you Mrs. Tevendale and the Cafeteria Staff for all that you do!

Dear CCSD Families,
We are excited to welcome our students and staff back tomorrow, Monday, January 6, 2025! This week, our school community will focus on the character strength of Optimism. Optimism means that you expect the best from the future and work to achieve it.
Optimistic people have hope and confidence about the future. They believe good things will come and stay positive even when faced with challenges. They turn obstacles into steps toward their goals.
Optimism isn't just seeing the world through rose-colored glasses. It's about focusing on the good in any situation, staying open to opportunities, and managing emotions. Optimistic people make great leaders and can inspire others with their positive outlook and ability to find meaning in difficult times.
To practice and encourage the character strength of optimism at home, please visit The Positivity Project’s mobile-friendly P2 for Families: https://posproject.org/p2-for-families/ where you can watch a video and continue the discussions on optimism at home. We encourage you to ask your students about the lessons and activities shared throughout this week!
We wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope for a year filled with optimism!
