Corinth's 3rd Annual Back to School Fair Promises Fun and Essentials for Students
Corinth, NY — The C.A.R.E. (Corinth Aims to Reach Everyone) Committee is thrilled to announce its 3rd Annual Back to School Fair, set to take place on August 27th from 4-6pm at Corinth Middle School. This eagerly anticipated event is a highlight of the year, bringing together students, families, and community members for an evening of celebration, support, and fun as we gear up for the new school year.
The Back to School Fair, hosted by the dedicated volunteers of the C.A.R.E. Committee, is designed to warmly welcome students back for the start of a new school year. Attendees can look forward to resources focused to help create a successful and confident start to the school year; including free school supplies, back-to-school haircuts, and an array of other goodies. The event will feature donated ice cream from Dairy Haus, served by the students' favorite teachers, along with Riverhawk water bottles, toiletries, hygiene products, and essential clothing items such as new socks and underwear— all available at no cost to students.
This event is open to all Corinth Central School District students entering Pre K - 12th grade.
To ensure that every student’s needs are met, families were asked to register in advance. This allows us to prepare grade-appropriate supply lists and ensure that each child leaves the fair well-equipped for the school year ahead. Since the creation of this event, we have worked to even the playing field of all our students - working to fulfill all school supply requests specifically and in their entirety. This year, we are excited to anticipate 225 students from 117 families to attend our fair. Students and families who were unable to register for this event are still welcome to attend to check out the resources and receive any available supplies on hand.
In addition to these offerings, the fair will provide valuable information about community resources. Representatives from the Corinth Booster Club, Corinth Youth Commission, the Corinth branch of the Saratoga YMCA, Saratoga County Youth Program from the Department of Aging and Youth Services, Corinth School’s Transportation Department and the Saratoga Children’s Literacy League will be present to share information and support. Many Corinth teachers will also be on hand to help distribute school supplies and reconnect with their students.
Additionally, a door prize raffle will take place during the event, offering exciting donated prizes to include a three-month Family Membership at the YMCA, a children’s bike gifted from the Queensbury Walmart and gift certificates to the Saratoga Corinth Hudson Railway, Kayla’s Cookie Jar and Eli’s - a local barber.
The event would not be possible without the incredible support from our community. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Saratoga Regional YMCA’s Togetherhood Committee, Corinth PTSA, Hudson River Community Credit Union, Craig Falkenbury and the Drive for Hope Golf Tournament , National Society of High School Scholars, Stewart Shop’s Holiday Match Program, Holy Mother and Child Church, Dairy Haus, the local hair stylists who will generously volunteer their time as well as many individual community members.. A full list of acknowledgments and thanks will be posted on the Corinth Central School District website and Facebook page following the event.

CCSD had students participate in the first ever Girls in Construction Summer Camp recently!
"The Northeast Construction Trades Workforce Coalition held the inaugural Construction Summer Camp for middle school girls July 22-26 at the Whitbeck Construction Education Center in Gansevoort, NY.
All week long, campers had the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities and learn how math, technology, science, and design apply to construction. Some of the many activities and builds the girls engaged were: toolbox build, sawhorses, Pallette tour of their asphalt plant and stone quarry, Witt Construction tour of two homes under construction, building a geometric puzzle, charcuterie board, and Viking chairs. Each day the skills were more advanced and built upon what they learned from the previous days’ lessons. Their final project was a vertical garden build. The week culminated with the Construction Olympics."
What an exciting opportunity for students to explore Career and Technical Education opportunities!

The new buses arrived recently, #136 and # 137 feature a newly redesigned and updated version of the CE Series, which was last updated 20 years ago. There are increased driver comfort features, including driver air-conditioning and improved ergonomics. The redesigned sloped hood enhances driver visibility, along with the single glass door panels.
