This past week, our 8th grade students participated in Career Jam 2023 at the Hudson Valley Community College Tec-Smart Campus in Ballston Spa!
Students were able to walk around, meeting representatives from capital region businesses, learning about different professions!
A big shout out to all who engaged fully and made the most of this great career investigation activity. Thank you to our CCSD Counselors for making this day possible!
Thank you, also, to the Saratoga County NY Government for their sponsorship of students in the county, making this event free to CCSD students.

The JV and Varsity Volleyball teams will be hosting their PINK Game on Wednesday, October 11th.
JV 5:00/Varsity to follow.
There will be basket raffles and concessions.
We will be accepting donations that will go to the Side-Out Foundation. We also have a QR code on posters that are around the school as well on here that you can scan with your camera and donate to our campaign. Our goal this year is $2,000.

https://giving.side-out.org/campaigns/20012

"Funds raised for Side-Out go towards research specifically for patients with metastatic breast cancer. The money we raise allows Side-Out to provide an unprecedented analysis to metastatic breast cancer patients and their oncologists. This unique analysis ranks treatment solutions and clinical trials for each patient that can substantially improve the length and quality of life."

If you are interested in donating a basket or items for the concession stand, please reach out to gradyh@corinthcsd.org. Come support your Riverhawks and wear PINK!!

Thank you so much for helping us to make an impact!
Thank you Coach Grady and our Volleyball athletes/coaches for your commitment to our community!

Our Girls Varsity Field Hockey Team won on the road at Salem-Cambridge under the lights! Here are some highlights from Coach Crombach:

"The Riverhawks fought hard for a 3-2 victory in overtime over the Salem-Cambridge team last night. Aubrey Lozier scored her first “hat trick” of the season with assists from Ava Holmes, Emily Holmes and Chloe Manning.
Other highlights included solid defensive plays from Taylor Stone, Sarah Sorbera and Maddie Homer with Jazz Gill and Olivia Holmes running the midfield.
Sydney Crombach shined in goal, sliding, diving and slapping down some hard hits posting 18 saves on the night.
Next week we are on the road to Emma Willard on Thursday and will host Hoosick Falls for our pink game on Friday night at 4:30pm. It’s homecoming night and we would love to see a huge crowd cheering us on for our final league game of the season. Congratulations Lady Riverhawks…lets end our regular season strong!"

Our Modified Volleyball team is on a hot streak! Here are some match highlights from Coach Reppucci:

"Girls Modified Volleyball secured the win again! Two nights in a row, the girls have won their matches!

The Girls beat Granville in two quick sets. Addie Cook served 8 aces in the first set and got the team 10 service points in the second!

Emma Havens was unstoppable and wouldn’t let a ball hit the ground. With the help of Addie Cook, the pair were an unstoppable defensive team.

Maddie Nelson, Annabell O’Brien and Cinthia Elvira were also all stars tonight, and helped the team win with multiple service points and aces from all three of the girls.

Sophia Nicolas and Maddie Nelson were big blockers and hitters at the net, and wouldn’t let anything come on our side with some big blocks!

The team now has a record of 4-2 and will play Argyle on Tuesday at home! Come support the Riverhawks in their first home game and watch them continue to dominate!"

Congratulations, RIVERHAWKS!!

Our Boys Varsity Soccer Team notched another win in their epic season of soccer! Here are some highlights from Coach Deso:

"The Riverhawks rolled to a 10-0 victory over the young North Warren Cougars team this afternoon. Five different players scored, including a game-high four goals for Riverhawk Hunter Shanahan, followed by Tyler Smolinski with a hat trick, while senior MJ Sprague scored his second goal in as many games.

Other highlights included a beautiful missile sent from 20 yards out by Aiden Wentworth that found home far post upper 90's, and the highlight of the game for the Riverhawks came when sophomore Sam Nelson had a beautiful finish and his first goal as a varsity player off a well-placed service from Michael Petteys.

Owen Baker earned his 5th shutout on the season, collecting 4 saves on the evening in net. This group of outstanding gentlemen now move to 9-1-0 in the league, and 10-3-0 overall and will travel to Lake George to face the Lakers on Columbus Day. Please take the time to come support the team... this is a huge game, and we would love your support!"

Congratulations, RIVERHAWKS!!! Good luck on Monday on the road!!!

It was another big win over Hartford for the Varsity Boys Soccer team at their CHS Homecoming Game last night! Here are highlights from Coach Deso:

"After making some adjustments following a slow start, the Riverhawks would find their groove under the lights to help celebrate Homecoming Week. About 12 minutes into the contest, senior defender Alex Wiseman decided it was time to take matters into his own hands. Beating a number of defenders, he worked his way down the sideline, across the end line, and struck a low liner near post, beating the keeper to put Corinth on the board.
A short five minutes later, Aiden Wentworth would find a streaking Tyler Smolinski who would beat a defender and send a laser far post to put the Riverhawks up by two. In the second half, the Riverhawks made a number of improvements to their shape, and were able to take the field with renewed purpose. Defender Hunter Shanahan received a ball wide, was able to artfully carry the ball down the line, then push across the endline, ultimately finding Tristan Lozier, who would bury the ball in the back of the net to increase the Riverhawk lead.
With just under five minutes remaining, Corinth senior MJ Sprague found another gear, running through a defender, then finding Tyler Smolinski, who would notch his second goal of the evening to put the Riverhawks up by three. Sprague was not done yet, and with just six seconds remaining in regulation, reminded us all that the work is never finished until the final seconds have ticked off the clock. He ran through the defense, collected a ball that was mishandled by the keeper, and put one more goal in for the Riverhawks, punctuating their 5-1 victory, now bringing their league record to 8-1-0.

On Friday, the Riverhawks host North Warren at 4:30 on our home field... please come support these gentlemen for their last home league contest.... our final two games of the season will be on the road!" Congratulations, RIVERHAWKS!! We wish you continued success this season! (Photos from the game will be shared on our Facebook page this weekend! Stay tuned...)

Our Modified Girls Volleyball team won a great match last night! Here are some highlights from Coach Reppucci:

"The Girls Modified Volleyball Team won their game last night against Warrensburg! The girls won the first set with ease, as Addie Cook dominated with consistent serves.
The team lost the second set but came back in the third with a big win! The girls were down to start the set, but Sophia Nicholas brought the team back up, serving 8 points in a row to catch up to Warrensburg and win the game! Sophia Nicholas was also a force at the net and had two blocks during the game.

Other standouts include, Annabell O’Brien whose serves were unstoppable all game long and Cinthia Elvira who led the team and passed consistently!

All-Stars of the Game: Addie Cook and Sophia Nicholas!

The team is now 3-2 and will have a game tonight at Granville!

Congratulations team and go Riverhawks!"

Our Varsity Golf Team continues to rock the links with success! Here are highlights from last night's match from Coach Bruno:

"The Riverhawk Golf team secured their 10th win of the season splitting the tri-match at Brookhaven vs Bolton and Granville. The Riverhawks swept Bolton 5-0 with wins from Aiden Schurr, Parker Duerr-Clark, Reiley Halliday, Cooper Philo and Gage Bardin. Parker Duerr-Clark also had his first sectional score, shooting a 44. The Riverhawks also took on undefeated Granville and came so close to pulling it out. We had a win from Parker Duerr-Clark and Gage Bardin who won the last 3 holes to win the match by 1.
We ended up losing 3-2 but played amazing to keep it tight. Today Gage, Parker, Aiden, and Cooper play in the league tournament in Hadley. Good luck!" Congratulations, Riverhawks! Wishing you much success today!
